Thanks to the rebound of the global economy, along with the Group’s newly-increased capacity, during the second quarter, the Group recorded a sales volume of 12.935 tons of silicone rubber, which is a 52.5% rise compared with the same quarter last year. It includes 9,523 tons of silicone compound and 1,111 tons of insulating rubber, which account for 87.42%and5.85% more from a year earlier. Meanwhile, 2,301 tons of gum was sold, showing a slight increasing from the same period last year.
The Group’s sales volume in the first-half year of 2010 rose 58.73 percent compared to the same period last year and hit a history high half-year record of 24,039 tons. Among which, 4,550 tons of gum, 17,427 tons of silicone compound and 2,062 tons of insulating rubber have been sold, representing a growth of 20.76%, 85,03%, and 4.17% respectively compared to the first half of last year.
The investment expansion projects of insulating rubber and FPT silicone compound, which started from early this year and about ten thousand tons of capacity added, are planning to put into operation by the end of this year. Under the production site construction plan of the Group, we will start to run Shanghai factory in September 1st,2010 and more than ten thousand of silicone compound capacity will be available.
