First of all, on behalf of the shareholders of DJS and its subsidiaries, the Board of Directors, and Chairman Xu, I salute you all!
The year 2022 is the most difficult and challenging year for the world and China's economy. Due to many unfavorable factors such as the continuous outbreak of Covid-19, the sharp drop in domestic demand, and the disorderly expansion of industrial capacity, we at Dongjue have felt more pressure than ever. With the joint efforts of all employees, we completed an annual sales volume of 94,700 tons in 2022, basically maintaining the original market share. Although our revenue dropped significantly due to the continuous decline of market prices, DJS was still able to keep sufficient liquidity and resilience to get through the hardest time with the concerted efforts of all employees. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to you all again!
The year 2022 is a year of management reform. The cruel reality of the market has made us slow down our pace and reflect deeply on the problems in our development. In the past year, we managed to bring our production process under control and refine our cost accounting; adjust the main management framework of the Group and build an unconventional talent selection system; and change our employee morale and production environment. All these can fully reflect our determination to reform.
The coming 2023 will be a crucial year for our development and a year to address various downsides and test our competitiveness. We need to adhere to the market-oriented principle, strengthen product development and optimization, improve product quality control and technical service capability, and reasonably control product costs. We also need to continuously expand the market, improve the customer service management, and keep improving and standardizing internal management, so as to lay a more solid foundation for future development.
"Adjust product structure, reduce production cost, improve management efficiency, and encourage innovative thinking" will be a normal goal of DJS. To achieve this goal, our management team must embrace responsibility with passion, overcome the lazy state of "muddling along", abandon the narrow mentality of "none of my business", and create a working environment of "striving for the best". I firmly believe that all of you will continue to create new records for DJS with a strong sense of responsibility and mission, a practical style, and indomitable perseverance.
Waving goodbye to the tough 2022, we are embarking on a new journey toward 2023. "Don't sigh, regain confidence." Our country will provide greater protection and economic incentives, and we are seeing various measures supporting the recovery of industries and enterprises. I believe that everyone at Dongjue will work harder and live a wonderful life after figuring out the situation. All of us will see the rainbow and hold our own flowers.
